I'm THAT guy!

I remember when it happened.  It was in December of 2006...back before Token Fat Guy even existed.  I was browsing the web and found some guy's weight loss blog by accident.  I didn't think to keep the address and I really wish I had.  He was an inspiration to me.  Anyway, after reading his blog from start to end, I was convinced that I should do the same....create a blog of my own to keep friends and family in the loop on my progress....and to help keep me honest.

At the time I was already down nearly 30 pounds or so.  And I'm reading about this guy who was down 80+ pounds.  He was becoming more active and really just enjoying life again.  I read his words and I wanted to be like that so badly.

Last week I was sorting out some of my 'fan email'...people telling me how much I inspire them, or how my words speak to them, or how much that just enjoy my writing.  I love that stuff....it is really great for the ego.  But then I realized, I've become that guy that inspired me.  I did it.  I really did it.

So thanks unknown guy.  Hopefully I'll inspire some one to take up the torch next.

Progress report

Last week I hit my treadmill goal of being able to run for 45 minutes without slowing down to a walk.

My weight remains at 207...unchanged from last week.  I'm not sure why I didn't lose anything.  I had a number of changes, lack of sleep, not enough water, adding a new supplement....any one of these could be responsible.  I'm not going to make a big deal over it yet.

My birthday is coming up in June.  I had wanted to get under 200 before then, but it doesn't look like it is going to happen...unless I have a couple of big drops in the next two weeks.  Oh well...it will come when it comes.

I started a new 6 week weight lifting plan today.  Now my arms are all 'noodlie'.

Define: NOODLIE - Noodle like...wobblie

Define: WOBBLIE - Wobble like...noodlie

Looking back at TFG past, I found a post from a year and a half ago that I did when I was frustrated about my lack of VISIBLE progress.  It was a pretty good post as it explained some things about fat that I didn't know before I did the research for that post.

If you are stalling, or disheartened over your lack of visible progress, you might want to have a look at it....

TFG 1.5 Years Ago

That's about all for this week.  I'm keeping it short as I've got lots to do today.

Couch Potato Dog says get some work done....I'll take care of watching the TV.2427846260_d47180170c
